Cathures is an auditioned chamber choir based in Glasgow. The group sings anything from two to eight part songs, either a capella or with accompaniment, and ranging across Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and 20th century music.
Cathures was the first name for the city that we now know as Glasgow, and the choir sees itself as a link between the past and the present of Glasgow, fitting for a choir that rehearses in the city and performs music of various styles and periods.
