The Govan Citadel Songsters is part of the world-wide Salvation Army movement, and has been in existence for over 90 years.
The Songsters work with the musicians of the Govan Citadel Band, the name of which is synonymous with high standards of Salvationism, deportment and music-making. The band was formed in 1882 and since that time, men and women from all walks of life have come into contact with the gospel message through the Band’s ministry in music.
It has campaigned in Canada, the USA, Denmark and also in the Netherlands on three occasions.
The choir performs at events throughout the city on a regular basis, and has just recorded its third CD.
