The Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association was formed in 1893 and is the oldest Gaelic choir in Scotland. Throughout its history it has promoted the cause of the Gaelic language and Gaelic choral singing in particular.
The "GG" can justifiably claim to be a premier Gaelic choir, and in recent years it has won numerous awards at national and local Mods, including the Lovat and Tullibardine Trophy at the National Mod in Fort William in 2007.
