The Glasgow International Jazz Festival is the city's annual jazz and related music festival, taking place at the end of June each year. The 2009 festival saw 60 concerts in 16 venues with over 250 artists, and it draws talented musicians from all over the world, including Carol Kidd, Wynton Marsalis, Ryan Quigley and Tommy Smith. It also has Fringe events, which are held in some of the city's best known and most atmospheric bars.
