Welcome to our Glasgow City of Music Monthly blog. On our airwaves this month, We are compiling some eclectic playlists based on the upcoming musical events in Glasgow. Specifically we’ll be educating you in the ways of the Glasgow Jazz Fest and the dance-led Rockness Festival. We’re happy to announce our specialist shows are growing with new podcasts compiled by the Stow College students in charge of Electric Honey Records. They’ll be playing us some of their favourite music and talking us through it. Another playlist will feature a new Glasgow based webzine called Entertain Us; taking their roots in Alternative Music, Entertain Us have provided us with some of their favourite songs featuring well known Scottish band The Vaselines and new-comers St. Deluxe.

Our drop-box has been jammed packed with the future noise-makers of the Glasgow Music Scene. For June we’ll be playing Aeroplanes under the sea, Huevo & the Giant, Jane Bolts, Jack Townes, The Paraffins, Piet Haag, Andrew Lindsay & The Coat Hooks,  The Relevants and DJ Jay Allen. We’ll also be playing some tracks from French Wives, Laki Mera, Happy Particles, Blue Sky Archive and Veronica Falls. Topping that all off, To celebrate the Jazz fest we have songs from artists such as Cathie Rae and Brian Kellock.
