Music City Radio Competition

Our hunt for the Best New Band in Glasgow has also begun. To help us do this we've enlisted the help of Chris Geddes from Belle & Sebastian to help us judge!

The winner will win the chance to record a single at Glasgow Music Studios. The lucky artist will have a three-hour recording session in an environment specifically tailored to their needs. This includes the chance to access the only ‘boxy acoustic modular’ rooms available in Scotland, and learn from an experienced engineer. They will also receive airplay on Glasgow Music City Radio.

To take part, bands and artists are invited to use the drop-box (powered by Soundcloud) to submit ONE demo track (http://soundcloud.com/gcomcompetition/dropbox). The winner will then be chosen by our team at Glasgow Music City Radio and Chris Geddes!

Cut-off date for submissions will be 28th September. The winner will be announced on 28th October, 2011 via our Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/GlasgowCityofMusic) page. Bands/Artists do not have to be from Glasgow but must be located within the Glasgow area.
